SAN BERNARDINO -- Cal State L.A.'s women's volleyball team didn't fare any better Saturday night on the back end of a tough California Collegiate Athletic Association road trip.
The Golden Eagles were swept for the second straight night, this time by undefeated Cal State San Bernardino, 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 Saturday night in Cousoullis Arena. Cal State L.A. (9-11, 6-9 CCAA) was also swept on Friday night by UC San Diego.

Marquis Mora and
Chelsea Hamilton had six kills each for the Golden Eagles. Priscilla Collings had 16 kills to lead Cal State San Bernardino (20-0, 15-0 CCAA), while Samantha Middleborn had 13 kills.
Cal State San Bernardino had a 49-22 edge in kills and hit at a .352 clip to just .098 for the Golden Eagles. Both teams had five blocks, while Cal State San Bernardino had a slim 6-5 edge in service aces.
Shea Hamilton had 14 set assists and two assists for Cal State L.A., while
Alexandra Risko had a team-high 14 digs and two service aces.
Cal State L.A. hung around early in all three sets only to see Cal State San Bernardino pull away at the end each time.
In the opening frame, Cal State L.A. took a 5-3 lead after an ace by
Mary Laupepa, a block by Mora and
Chelsea Hamilton and a kill by Mora, but Cal State San Bernardino quickly took the lead and pulled quickly away.
In the second set, the Golden Eagles scored the first two points after kills by Gonzalez and
Chelsea Hamilton and led 4-1 after a kill by
Chelsea Hamilton and a block by Hamilton and Mora. The set was still tied at 12-12 after a kill by Mora, but the Coyotes scored the next four points and never looked back.
The Coyotes jumped out to a quick advantage in the third set and never trailed. Kills by Gonzalez and
Chelsea Hamilton and an ace by Risko closed the gap to 8-7, but that was as close as the Golden Eagles would get.
Cal State L.A. will return to action with a road game at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Tuesday.
