Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Had another strong season in the fall with Cal State LA’s defending national champion indoor team. Appeared in 27 matches and 107 sets. Led the team with 303 digs and was fourth on the team with 17 service aces. Was also fifth on the team with 45 set assists. Had a career-high 26 digs in NCAA Tournament match against San Francisco State on Dec. 5. Also had 23 digs in a four-set win at Cal Poly Pomona in CCAA Tournament semi-final match and 22 digs in a first-round tournament win over Cal State San Bernardino. Was named to the CCAA All-Tournament team after recording 61 digs in three matches. Had a season-high three service aces in a four-set win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Nov. 2. Reached double figures in digs 14 times, including 20 or more four times. Was one of the beach volleyball team’s players in the spring (2025). Competed in all 12 of the team’s matches and had three wins with Samarah DaCoud at No. 2 pairs.

2023: Had a strong season in the fall while helping the Golden Eagles to their first NCAA Division II national championship as well as a second straight NCAA West Region title and a California Collegiate Athletic Association co-championship. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention for a second straight season. Appeared in all 34 matches and in 124 of the team’s 127 sets. Was second on the team with 317 digs, third on the team with 36 aces and fourth on the team with 86 set assists. Had a career-high 23 digs against Lewis on Sept. 9. Had a career-high four aces in a three-set win at Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 5 and matched that in a three-set win over Chaminade in an NCAA West Regional semifinal match on Dec. 1. Reached double figures in digs 16 times, including twice in the NCAA Championships. Had 17 digs in a five-set win over Wayne State in the national quarterfinals on Dec. 7 and had 11 in four sets in the national championship win over West Texas A&M on Dec. 9. Competed for a second season with Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2024). Won a pair of matches at No. 5 pairs with Samarah DaCoud. Played in all 12 matches during the season with DaCoud.

2022: Had an outstanding first season with Cal State LA’s indoor volleyball program in the fall and was a key contributor for the NCAA Division II West Region and CCAA champions. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention recognition. Appeared in all 32 matches and all 111 sets for the Golden Eagles. Led the team with 320 digs and was second in service aces with 45 and third in set assists with 108. Made her Cal State LA debut and contributed 11 digs, three assists and two aces in a five-set win over Ferris State on Aug. 25. Had a season-high 17 digs in a five-set win over Simon Fraser on Aug. 27 and had 15 digs in four-set wins over Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 23 and at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 8 and in a three-set win at Chico State on Nov. 4. Had 14 digs and a pair of aces in Cal State LA’s national quarterfinal win over Gannon. Had a season-high nine set assists in a three-set win at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 21. Had a season-high five aces in a three-set match at Western Washington on Aug. 27. Had 10 or more digs in 18 matches. Had two or more aces in 11 contests. Competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2023). Played in 10 matches, two at No. 1 pairs, seven at No. 2 pairs and one at No. 3 pairs.

At Heritage High School: Earned first-team All-League honors all four years in high school and was the Most Valuable Player at the Freeway Tournament. Won the military Female Athlete of the Year award for 2022.

Personal: Daughter of Clint and Jennifer Sanders. Majoring in business. Enjoys hanging out with loved ones and her cat Mavis. Lists winning the 2023 national championship as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she has a sister, Shayne. Is Cal State LA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-President for 2025-26.
