Biography

2016-17: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles and completed an outstanding three-year career with the program. Had a 7-19 overall singles record and played at No. 1 singles for a third straight year. Had a 20-9 overall record in doubles, including a 14-7 mark at No. 1 doubles. Earned second-team All-PacWest Conference honors in doubles with partner Kayleigh Hall. Earned Academic All-PacWest Conference recognition. For her career, had an overall singles record of 40-39, including a 27-32 mark in dual matches. Had a 45-35 overall record in doubles and a 34-29 mark in dual matches. Recorded a total of 61 points in dual matches in her career. Finished her career third in overall doubles wins and fifth in singles wins.

2015-16: Had a second consecutive outstanding season with the Golden Eagles. Finished the year ranked 10th in singles in the West Region and ninth in doubles with partner Kayleigh Hall by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Reached the semi-finals of the ITA Fall West Regional. Earned second-team All-PacWest honors in singles and third-team honors in doubles. Tied for the team lead in singles victories with an 18-9 overall record and was 14-8 in dual matches at No. 1 singles. Recorded 12 doubles victories with three different partners.

2014-15: Had a tremendous first year with the Golden Eagles. Was named the ITA Player to Watch after an outstanding season. Finished the year ranked No. 39 in the nation in singles and No. 7 in the West Region. Had a 15-11 overall record and was second on the team in wins. Earned first-team All-PacWest honors in singles and second-team honors in doubles. Had a 9-8 record in dual matches, including a 7-7 mark at No. 1 singles. Was also 2-1 at No. 2 singles. Earned eight points at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.

At Arkansas Tech: Had an outstanding first season and was named the Great American Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Finished the season ranked No. 6 in the Central Region in singles and as part of the No. 3 doubles team by the ITA. Recorded a 20-7 mark in singles play and a 14-5 record at No. 1 singles. Was also 21-7 in doubles, including a 17-5 record at No. 1 doubles.

At Inagakuen Sogo High School: Competed in tennis in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Masumi and Kimiaki Matsuoka. Majoring in business management. Enjoys watching television.
