Biography
2016-17: Had a sensational season for the Golden Eagles and completed a sensational three-year career with the program. Had a 14-6 overall record in singles, including a 12-4 mark in dual matches. Had the team's most dramatic wins of the season, a three-set victory at No. 4 singles as the final match on the court in a 5-4 win over No. 6 Hawaii Pacific. Earned Pac-West Conference Player of the Week honors the previous week after recording the final point in a 5-4 win over Sonoma State. Also had a 14-10 overall record in doubles, including a 12-8 mark in dual matches. Earned an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete Award and received Academic All-PacWest Conference honors. Named Cal State LA.'s Exceptional Student-Athlete of the Year (female) for 2016-17, winning the award for a second time.  For her career, had an overall singles record of 35-20 and a mark of 32-17 in dual matches. Had an overall doubles record of 32-31, including a 29-28 mark in dual matches. Recorded a total of 61 points in dual matches in her career. Finished her career 10th in overall singles wins and tied for 10th in doubles wins.
2015-16: Had an outstanding season in her second year with the program. Had one of the team’s best singles records with a 15-5 overall mark. Was 14-4 in dual matches at No. 4 singles. Also picked up 12 victories in doubles with two different partners. Named Cal State L.A.'s Exceptional Student-Athlete of the Year (female) for 2015-16. Also earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award and received Academic All-PacWest Conference recognition.
2014-15: Joined the program mid-season as a sophomore. Recorded a 6-9 record in singles playing at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. Also earned five points in doubles playing at the No. 2 spot. Received Academic All-PacWest recognition.
At University of Massachusetts: Played in three tournament matches in singles and split four doubles matches in tournaments.
At Stockholms Idrottsgymnasium: Was ranked in the top 10 as a junior player in Sweden.
Personal: Daughter of Karim Mahdi and Delia Raileanu. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys traveling, family and friends. Lists representing Stockholm in a series of tournaments in the summer of 2009 and coming to Cal State L.A. as her most exciting experiences in sports.
