Summary

Biography

2024: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 16 games with 16 starts. Played a total of 900 minutes. Had two goals and one assist for five points. Earned second-team All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches for a second straight season. Earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3. Scored game-winning goals in back-to-back games against San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay to help the Golden Eagles clinch a spot in the CCAA Tournament. Scored in the 21st minute in a 2-0 win at San Francisco State on Nov. 1. Then broke a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 69th minute of a 2-1 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on Nov. 3. Had an assist on a goal by Delia Bocanegra in the 57th minute of a 3-1 win at Stanislaus State on Oct. 6. Played a season-high 88 minutes against Cal State Monterey Bay in a CCAA Tournament first-round game in University Stadium on Nov. 10. For her career, appeared in 32 games, all starts. Played a total of 2,095 minutes. Had five goals and four assists for 14 points.

2023: Had a sensational season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Started all 16 games she played in and was on the field for 1,195 minutes. Had three goals and three assists for nine points. Was third on the team in goals, first in assists and tied for second in points. Earned second-team All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches and earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Made her Cal State LA debut and played 90 minutes in a 1-0 win at Concordia on Aug. 31. Had her first multi-point game when she had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over San Francisco State. Scored on a penalty kick goal to make it 3-0 in the 50th minute. Assisted on a goal by Shelby Melin in the 57th minute to make it 4-0. Had the only goal in the 29th minute of a 1-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 1. Was named the CCAA Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1. Had second a multi-point game in a 3-0 win at Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 29. Scored in the 12th minute to make it 2-0 and then assisted on a goal by Liliana Gonzalez in the 62nd minute to make it 3-0. Was injured late in the game and missed the final five games of the season. Other assist came on a goal by Erin Schrock in the 81st minute of a 1-1 tie against Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 15. Played a season-high 90 minutes in three games.

At Cypress College: Was the team Most Valuable Player both years and was a two-time All-American.  Earned All-Conference honors and was the conference Defensive Most Valuable Player. Started 20 games in 2022 and had six goals for 12 points. Started all 24 games in 2021 and had four goals and eight points.

At Narbonne High School: Team won a CIF title in 2018. Was team Most Valuable Player all four years in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Javier Ortiz and Silvia Martinez. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys boxing. Lists earning two All-American awards and winning MVP awards as her most exciting experiences in sports.
