Cal State LA Athletics

2019-20: Overcame some early-season injury trouble and completed his career at Cal State LA with another strong season. Appeared in 17 games with 16 starts. Averaged 8.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Was sixth on the team in scoring. Scored a career-high 19 points at Cal State San Marcos (2-13-20). Also had 17 points against Cal State Monterey Bay (2-6-20). Reached double figures in scoring eight times. Had a career-high 10 rebounds and added 11 points for his first career double-double at UC San Diego (2-15-20). For his career, appeared in 45 games and started 43 times. Played a total of 1,146 minutes. Averaged 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

2018-19: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s key players. Appeared in 28 games and started 27 times. Averaged 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Had a season-high 18 points and three rebounds against Cal State East Bay (2-7-19). Scored 16 points and had three steals in a win at Stanislaus State (2-28-19). Also had 16 points in 23 minutes in a 72-66 win at Cal State San Bernardino (11-29-19). Reached double figures in scoring 13 times.

2017-18: Did not compete in his first year with the program and was a redshirt.

At Barstow College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors both years. Team won a conference championship. Averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game and shot 44.6 percent from 3-point range.

At Cambridge House: Competed in basketball and was a Three-Point Shootout winner in a national tournament in Spain.

Personal: Son of John Rogers and Puri Garcia. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys swimming, fishing and listening to music. Lists competing in the finals of the national championship in Spain and winning a conference championship at Barstow for the first time in 50 years as his most exciting experiences in sports.
