Summary

Biography

2008: Was a major contributor for Cal State L.A. cross country program in her first year with the program. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors by finishing 11th in the conference championships with a 6,000-meter time of 22:53.2. Was the team’s No. 3 runner in the conference meet. Also finished 20th in the NCAA Division II West Region championships and 79th in the NCAA Division II championships. Also competed for the Golden Eagles in the spring and had best times of 17:38.72 in the 5,000 and 10:15.49 in the 3,000.
 
At Los Angeles Trade Tech: Competed in cross country and track and field. Had best times of 18:05 in the 5,000 meters and 10:22 in the 3,000.
 
At Los Angeles High School: Competed in cross country and track and field. Had best times of 5:58 in the mile and 20:01 in cross country.
 
Personal: Daughter of Miguel Angel Banda and Jaquina Palafox. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys running and resting. Lists getting All-CCAA honors in cross country, finishing 20th at regionals and making it to nationals as her most exciting experiences in sports.
