Cal State LA Athletics

2024-25: Contributed once again for the Golden Eagles in her second year with the program. Appeared in five games and played a total of 10 minutes. Played a career-high five minutes in a 79-46 win over Cal State East Bay (1-18-25).

2023-24: Got playing time for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Made five appearances and played a total of 14 minutes. Averaged 0.8 points and 0.2 rebounds per game. Made her Cal State LA debut and played four minutes in an 81-53 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (12-7-23). Scored one point and was 1-of-2 from the free-throw line. Also grabbed one rebound. Scored a season-high three points after hitting a 3-pointer in an 89-63 win over Cal State East Bay (2-10-24). Played a season-high five minutes and had one assist in an 88-42 win over San Francisco State (2-8-24).

At Liberty High School/Prodigy Prep: Was the Max Preps high school all-time career leader in 3-pointers made (852), 3-pointers made in a season (184), 3-pointers made in a game (17, accomplished twice), 3-pointers made in one half (11) and 3-pointers made in a quarter (6). Was the youngest player to reach career milestones for scoring 1,000, 2,000, and 3,000 points and ended her career with 5,186 points. Earned Nevada All-Southern Conference honors twice and Florida All-State and Conference SIAA honors four times. Was a member of the National Junior Honors Society.

Personal: Daughter of Jamie and Vivian Newman. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys hanging out with friends and family and making music. Lists winning and competing as her most exciting experiences  in sports. Notes she holds the record for most 3-pointers in a season for the SIAA.
