Summary

Biography

2009: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the track and field program. Finished ninth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Had best marks of 2:30.59 in the 800 meters, 5:00.14 in the 1,500, 11:07.30 in the 3,000, 19:00.59 in the 5,000 and 40:31.31 in the 10,000. For her career, had best marks of 2:29.90 in the 800, 5:00.14 in the 1,500, 11:07.30 in the 3,000, 19:00.59 in the 5,000 and 40:31.31 in the 10,000. 

2008: Competed for Cal State L.A.’s cross country team in the fall and was a steady top-seven runner. Finished 45th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 25:03.4 over 6,000 meters. Also finished 84th in the NCAA Division II West Region Championships and took 180th in the NCAA Division II National Championships. Had best times of 2:29.90 in the 800 meters, 5:02.90 in the 1,500 and 11:23.55 in the 3,000 for the Cal State L.A. outdoor track and field team. Received an Arthur Ashe Track and Field First-Team honor from Diversity magazine and received a department Academic Achievement Award and earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

2007: Competed in six races for the Golden Eagle cross country team. Finished 45th in the conference championship meet with a time of 23:36 over 6,000 meters.

2006: Competed as one of the team’s top seven and helped the team to a West Region championship and a fourth-place finish in the nation. Finished 75th in the CCAA championships. Also took 108th in the NCAA Division II West Regional and 126th in the NCAA Division II Championships.

2005: Began her Cal State L.A. career as a freshman and ran for the cross country and track and field teams.

At West Torrance High School: Was the Most Improved Runner as a freshman. Also was a member of the school’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Daughter of Cliff Weinan and Mamie Koe. Majoring in electrical engineering. Enjoys playing the piano and shopping. Lists recording a 12-second personal record in the 1,500 at the Cal-Nevada Championships in 2007 and going to the 2006 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships and finishing fourth as a team as her most exciting experiences in sports.
