Cal State LA Athletics

2024-25: Was a welcome addition to the lineup in her one year with the program. Competed in six tournaments and a total of 15 rounds. Had a scoring average of 77.67. Had a best finish with a tie for 18^th at the Sonoma State Spring Invite on April 7-8 after rounds of 76 and 80 for a score of 156. Finished in a tie for 46^th at the WT Regional Preview on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 after rounds of 82-73-79 and a score of 234. The 73 was her low round of the season. Also finished 58^th in the National Preview after rounds of 79-76-74 for a score of 229. Had a low 36-hole score of 155 after rounds of 77 and 78 at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella, where she finished 29^th. Earned a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Award and 2024-25 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors. Also earned California Collegiate Athletic Association 2025 Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition.

At Sonoma State: Was a major contributor to the Seawolves in her four years with the program. Had two top-three finishes and 20 top-10 finishes during her career. Earned Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors from 2021-23.

At Carmel High School: Was the MCAL individual golf champion in 2019 and a member of the Honors Society. Competed in golf, basketball and softball.

Personal: Daughter of Osman and Regina Ozel. Earned her bachelor’s degree in education. Enjoys piano and basketball. Lists playing golf tournaments in Hawaii as her most exciting experiences in sports.
