Cal State LA Athletics

2022: Was on Cal State LA’s cross country roster in the fall, but did not compete in any meets. Had an outstanding first season for the Golden Eagles’ track and field team in the spring (2023). Had best times of 48.06 in the 400 meters and 1:48.53 in the 800. Earned a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship as part of Cal State LA’s 4x400 relay team. Also earned All-CCAA recognition after finishing third in the 800. Competed in the NCAA Division II championships in the 800 and finished 13^th in the nation. Earned All-West Region honors in the 800 and 4x400 relay. Best time in the 800 is No. 2 all-time at Cal State LA.

At Glendale College: Earned All-America honors after finishing fourth in the state in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.06.

At Eagle Rock High School: Was a state finalist and an LA City Section champion.

Personal: Son of Isaac and Ivonne Turner. Majoring in art. Enjoys music. Says his most exciting experience in sports hasn’t happened yet.
