2022: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any meets for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program.

At Long Beach City College: Earned Academic All-State honors in cross country. Also earned the Coaches’ Award in cross country. Was on the Fall Scholar-Athlete and Spring Scholar-Athlete teams. Was on the spring Dean’s List with honors. Had best marks of 4:25.65 in the 1,500 meters, 16:39.49 in the 5,000 and 36:35.05 in the 10,000.

At Gahr High School: Competed in soccer.

Personal: Son of Sebastian and Josefina Almaraz. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys listening to podcasts like “The Fighter and the Kid,” “King and the Sting,” and “The Joe Rogan Experience,” running and watching UFC and boxing. Lists qualifying for the Southern California Regionals in cross country both years at Long Beach City College as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes his favorite foods are pizza, hot wings and Korean BBQ and his favorite musical artists are Anuel AA and Rauw Alejandro.
