Cal State LA Athletics

2021-22: Participated in two tournaments for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Had an average score of 89.50. Had a career-low score of 86 in the final round of the Point Loma Invitational. Had a 36-hole total of 178, which was a career-best and 17 shots better than her score at that tournament as a freshman. Also had rounds of 92 and 88 for a total of 180 in a dual match with Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 24. For her career, played in three tournaments and a total of six rounds. Had a scoring average of 92.17.

2020-21: Earned 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019-20: Was a valuable member of the team in her first year with the program. Competed in one spring event before the season was cut short. Shot rounds of 100 and 95 at the Point Loma Invitational on Feb. 3-4.

At California High School: Ranked in the top-100 in 2015. Was on the school’s Principal’s Honor Roll in 2015-16 and on the school’s Honor Roll from 2016-18. Earned second-team All-League honors. Played on varsity all four years in high school, including a co-ed team during her freshman and sophomore years. As a junior, the school created a girls’ team just for her. Was a varsity team captain.

Personal: Daughter of Ulysses and Monica Duran. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys reading, going on walks and thrifting. Lists making CIF during her junior and senior years as her most exciting experiences in sports.
