DOWNEY -- Cal State LA's women's golf team finished where it started the day on Tuesday in the final round of the LA Spring Kickoff.
The Golden Eagles shot another round of 313 and finished third with a 54-hole score of 899. Cal State LA has now finished in the top-three in all five tournaments in 2025-26, including the four tournaments in the fall.
Point Loma was the big winner in the tournament. The Sea Lions led the tournament from start to finish and won with rounds of 290, 292 and 284 for a total of 2-over-par 866. Cal State Monterey Bay was second after rounds of 296, 294 and 294 for 884. Cal State LA was third and another California Collegiate Athletic Association, Cal State East Bay, was fourth after rounds of 301, 303 and 304 for a total of 908.
Point Loma also had the individual tournament winner in Allie Nguyen, who shot a final round of 4-under-par 68 to take top honors with a score of 5-under-par 211. Cathy Tong of Cal State Monterey Bay was second at 1-under-par 214 and Point Loma's Isabella Gunasayan was third at 1-over-par 216.

Joshlyn Ayala had the team's best individual performance after finishing sixth at four-over-par 220. She had a final round of 73 that included four birdies. She had her score back to even par and was in third place, within two shots of the lead, after 13 hole, but Nguyen rolled in three straight birdies on 14, 15 and 16 to take control of the tournament.
Daniela Andrade had a roller-coaster type of day and finished well to finish in a tie for 13th after round of 75 to finish at 224. She battled back nicely from a triple-bogey on the front nine and a double-bogey on the back nine and finished her round with a brilliant eagle on the par-5 18th hole when she drilled a 5-iron in close and made the putt.
Talia Gutman finished in a tie for 23rd at 228 after a final round of 77 that was highlighted by a pair of birdies.
Rilee Crosby finished in a tie for 26th at 230 after a final round of 76 that included a pair of birdies during a three-hole stretch late in her round.
Sarah Amaya finished in a tie for  33rd at 233 after a final round of 77 that was highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 fourth hole.
Lisette Orellana, competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 13th with a score of 224 after a final round of 76.
Cal State LA will return to action in the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by Cal State East Bay on Feb. 23.
