A strong serving run by Cetin erased a 4-2 deficit and put the Golden Eagles ahead, 8-4 in the opening set. Cal State LA led the rest of the way, although the Wildcats closed to within 16-14 and 18-15 before the Golden Eagles pulled away. A kill by DaCoud and a block by Havannah Vogel and Landers gave the Golden Eagles a 23-16 edge and kills by Vogel and Cetin ended the set.

Cal State LA opened the second set with a quick 6-1 advantage and never looked back. A kill by Rebecca Topete and a block by DaCoud gave the Golden Eagles a 20-10 lead and Cal State LA eventually closed out the set with a kill by Landers and an ace by Cetin.

Cal State LA jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead in the final set and led the rest of the way. The Wildcats closed to within 20-18, but kills by Landers and Rachel Lowe pushed the lead to 22-18. Cal State LA put the match away with a kill by DaCoud and back-to-back kills from Landers.
