LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's men's soccer team used some more second-half magic to keep its unbeaten streak alive Sunday at University Stadium.
The Golden Eagles got a go-ahead goal from
Tommaso Belli in the 60th minute and held off a determined MSU Denver squad to post a 1-0 victory. No. 3 Cal State LA (4-0-1) recorded its fourth shutout in five games and stretched its unbeaten streak to 19 games in a row dating back to the 2023 season.
Tommaso Belli, who had a pair of assists in Cal State LA's 4-1 win over Colorado School of Mines on Friday, did the scoring honors on Sunday with his first goal of the season.

Ivan Farias-Martinez had the assists.
Diego Bravo had a strong game in goal and made four saves, including a pair of spectacular saves, one in each half, for the Golden Eagles.

The only goal of the game came on a nice passing sequence involving three Golden Eagles. Farias-Martinez got the ball to Mordechay, who slid a pass over to an onrushing Belli, whose quick shot nestled inside the far post.
Cal State LA had a 14-10 advantage in shots, including a 10-3 edge in the first half. MSU Denver had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks, including all five in the second half, four of them coming in the final 20 minutes as the Roadrunners pushed to equalize.
