LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's basketball team found itself on the short end of another tight finish Thursday night in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.

The Golden Eagles got the opening basket of the game on a layup by Fisher and took a 16-14 lead on a steal and layup by
Chiderah Uzowuru early in the second quarter. The Coyotes, though, scored the next seven points and led until Cal State LA got a basket from
Christine Delapina to tie the game, 25-25, at halftime.
Cal State LA took a 29-27 after a 3-pointer by Uzowuru early in the third quarter before falling behind by as many as eight points. A free throw by Fisher cut it to 47-43 heading into the fourth quarter.
Cal State LA tied it at 47-47 after a layup by
Rebeccah DiRegolo and took its final lead of the game, 49-47, after another layup by DiRegolo with 7:19 to go. The Golden Eagles stayed within striking range, trailing by just four, 57-53, after a basket by
Rachael DiRegolo with 1:34 to go, but the Golden Eagles couldn't get any closer.
