Biography

2022-23: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 27 games with 23 starts. Played a total of 644 minutes. Averaged 6.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Was fourth on the team in scoring. Led the team in assists with 72 (2.7 per game) and was second in steals with 42 (1.6 per game). Scored a career-high 24 points in a season-opening 81-74 win over Concordia (11-11-22). Had 15 points and a season-high six assists in an 80-59 win over Cal State East Bay (1-21-23). Had 14 points and four rebounds while playing a season-high in a 64-54 win at San Francisco State (2-2-23). Had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in NCAA playoff game against Montana State Billings (3-10-23). Reached double figures in scoring seven times. An outstanding student as well, earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Also earned 2022-23 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors. For her career, appeared in 52 games with 46 starts. Played a total of 1,259 minutes. Averaged 6.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

2021-22: Made important contributions for the Golden Eagles in her first year on the court with the program. Appeared in 25 games with 23 starts and played a total of 615 minutes. Averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Was tied for fifth on the team in scoring. Also had 44 assists, which were fifth on the team. Had a season-high 16 points and played a season-high 37 minutes in an 80-69 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills (2-3-22). Also had 11 points in 22 minutes in a 78-69 win over Stanislaus State (2-19-22) and 10 points and four rebounds in a 73-58 win over Cal State San Bernardino (2-12-22). Reached double figures in scoring three times. Made her Cal State LA debut, got her first start, and scored five points in 23 minutes against Biola (11-12-21). Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors.

2020-21: Earned 2020-21 CCAA All-Academic honors and also received 2020-21 CCAA Winter Academic Honor Roll recognition. Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At King High School: Was on four Big 8 League championship teams during her high school career. Earned first-team All-League honors as a senior and received the Dynasty Leader Award as well as a scholar-athlete award and her team’s Defensive Player of the Year award. Earned first-team All-League honors as a junior as well as Big 8 All-Academic honors. Was the Defensive Player of the Year and earned a scholar-athlete award. Was the Big 8 League Most Valuable Player as a sophomore and earned the team’s Defensive Player of the Year award. As a freshman, earned first-team All-League honors and the team’s Heart and Hustle Award. Was also the Defensive Player of the Year and earned a scholar-athlete award. Competed in basketball and lacrosse.

Personal: Daughter of Bryan and Raquel Smith. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys hiking, photography, dancing, drawing, biking and gaming. Lists winning the West Coast National Championship with her travel ball team as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she loves listening to music. Was a Tommie Smith Award recipient.
