Summary

Biography

2016: Had another good season to complete her outstanding four-year Cal State LA career. Appeared in 16 games with 15 starts. Played a total of 828 minutes. Had one goal and two points. Scored the lone goal in a 1-1 tie at Humboldt State on Oct. 27. Played a season-high 95 minutes in that game. Took a season-high four shots in a 2-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 30. For her career, appeared in 66 games with 44 starts. Played a total of 3,649 minutes. Had six goals and nine assists for 21 points.

2015: Was one of the best players on the team in her third season with the program. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had two goals and four assists and led the team in scoring with eight points. Got the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 14th minute of a 1-0 victory at Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 27. Also had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Chico State on Oct. 11. Assisted on the Golden Eagles’ first goal and then scored in the 29th minute to give Cal State LA a 2-1 lead. Named the team’s Attacking Player of the Year. Received a CCAA All-Academic Award. Appeared in 15 games and started 14 times. Played a total of 1,367 minutes.

2014: Had a strong second season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 19 games and started 15 times. Played a total of 864 minutes. Was limited by injury late in the year and missed Cal State LA’s final two games. Finished the season with one goal and three assists for a total of five points. Scored her lone goal of the season in a 5-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 3. Had assists in her final two games of the season. Had an assist on a goal by Krystal Kutscher early in a 2-2 tie at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 30 and had an assist on a goal by Amalia Arvidsson early in the second half of a 3-0 win over Sonoma State in a CCAA Championship Tournament semi-final game on Nov. 7.

2013: Saw significant playing time in her first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 16 games and was tied for fourth on the team in scoring. Had two goals and two assists for six points. Played a total of 590 minutes. Got the first goal in a 4-0 win over Saint Martin’s on Sept. 8 in her Cal State L.A. debut. Also scored the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 20. Had an assist on the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Point Loma on Sept. 10 and had an assist on the first goal in a 3-2 win at Sonoma State on Oct. 4.

At Solna Gymasium: Competed in soccer.

Personal: Daughter of Ronny and Ann-Marie Steen. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys friends and travel. Lists winning gold in the Gothia Cup in 2010 and 2012, competing for Sweden’s youth national team and winning the CCAA championship with an undefeated conference record in 2014 as her most exciting experiences in sports.
