Cal State LA Athletics

2016: Made significant contributions in her second and final season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in all 20 games and started twice. Played a total of 571 minutes. Made her first career start and played 64 minutes at Sonoma State on Oct. 29. Also got the start and played 42 minutes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament championship match against UC San Diego on Nov. 6. For her career, appeared in 26 games and started twice. Played a total of 635 minutes.

2015: Earned playing time in her first year with Cal State LA. Appeared in six games for the Golden Eagles. Made her Cal State LA debut against Sonoma State on Sept. 18 and played 12 minutes. Played a season-high 13 minutes at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 31.

At Cerritos College: Was on state and national championship teams in 2012 and 2013. Scored a total of 13 goals in her two seasons with the program. Had nine goals and four assists as a sophomore in 2013.

At M.A. Firebaugh High School: Earned first-team All-CIF and first-team All-League honors. Team won two straight undefeated league championships. Named to the Long Beach Press-Telegram’s Dream Team as a senior after scoring 28 goals with 38 assists. Named the team’s Most Valuable Player and team captain. Scored 27 goals and earned first-team All-League and team MVP honors as a junior. Also named the team’s MVP as a sophomore, when she scored 20 goals, and as a freshman, when she scored 24 goals.

Personal: Daughter of Eugenio Gutierrez and Maricruz Alfaro. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys sleeping. Lists winning back-to-back state and national championships at Cerritos College as her most exciting experiences in sports.
