Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Had a second strong season with the Golden Eagles and concluded her outstanding two-year career. Appeared and started in 12 games. Played a total of 1,154 minutes. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Missed the first seven games due to injury. Started the final 12 games. Cal State LA was 7-3-2 in those 12 games. For her career, appeared in 30 games with 30 starts. Played a total of 2,910 minutes. Had one goal and two points.

2012: Had a tremendous first year with the Golden Eagles. Earned NSCAA/Continental Tire third-team All-West Region honors and All-CCAA honorable mention. Started all 18 games for the Golden Eagles and was the team’s top defender. Scored the opening goal on a penalty kick in a 2-0 win over Grand Canyon on Sept. 1. Led the team in minutes played with 1,756. Earned the team’s Outstanding Player of the Year award.

At Cerritos College: Earned second-team All-America honors in 2010 and was named first-team All-South Coast Conference in both seasons with the program. Played in a total of 40 games over two years and scored three goals.

At Mayfair High School: Earned first-team All-CIF honors as a senior and was the Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Suburban League. Was also named to the Long Beach Press Telegram’s Dream Team. Was named the team’s Most Valuable Player, Best Defensive Player and captain. Earned second-team All-CIF and first-team All-League honors as a junior and helped team win a CIF championship. Earned second-team All-League honors as a sophomore.

Personal: Daughter of Emigdio and Bertha Arroyo. Majoring in health science. Enjoys playing with Messi and Jacey.
