Biography

2016: Had another tremendous season to complete her sensational four-year Cal State LA career. Earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors for a second straight season and was named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team for a second time after helping the Golden Eagles reach the title game. Appeared in 20 games and started 19 times. Played a total of 1,827 minutes, which led the team. Had one goal for two points. Scored on a second-half penalty kick in a 1-0 win over San Francisco State on Oct. 2. For her career, appeared in 67 games with 56 starts. Played a total of 5,441 minutes. Had five goals and two assists for 12 points.

2015: Had an outstanding junior season with the Golden Eagles and earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association and second-team NSCAA All-West Region honors. Appeared and started in all 18 games and played in every minute of every game, a total of 1,749 minutes. Shared the team lead in goals scored with three and was fourth on the team with six points. Was 2-for-2 in penalty kicks during the season. Scored on a penalty kick in a 1-1 tie against Concordia Irvine on Sept. 5 and knocked home a penalty kick in a 1-0 win over UC San Diego on Oct. 4. Also scored the team’s only goal at UC San Diego on Sept. 14.

2014: Had a tremendous second season with the Golden Eagles and developed into one of the top defenders in the conference. Earned CCAA Championships All-Tournament Team honors after helping the Golden Eagles to the conference championship. Scored her first career goal with a beautiful strike from 25 yards out to open the scoring in a 3-1 win over Chico State in the championship match. Appeared in 20 games and started 18 times. Was fourth on the team in minutes played with 1,579. Had one goal and two assists for four points.

2013: Got her career off to a promising start and saw significant playing time as a true freshman. Appeared in nine games and made one start. Played a total of 286 minutes. Made her Cal State LA debut against Saint Martin’s on Sept. 8. Got her first start for the Golden Eagles on Sept. 15 against UC San Diego and played a season-high 74 minutes.

At La Serna High School: Was the team Most Valuable Player and helped her team to a CIF championship in 2013. Earned first-team All-CIF and first-team All-Area honors. Team was also a CIF finalist in 2012. Earned first-team All-League and first-team All-Area in 2012 and was the team’s Defensive Most Valuable Player. Earned All-CIF honors in three seasons. Also competed in track and field and was the Most Valuable Sprinter in 2010 and 2011 and the Most Valuable Athlete in 2012. Set school records in the 200 meters (25.52) and 400 (56.01) and also set a Del Rio League record in the 200. Was named the school’s Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Daughter of Gary and Suzanne Telles. Majoring in exercise science. Enjoys running, listening to music, hanging out and eating with friends. Lists winning the CCAA Championship in 2014 as her most exciting experience in sports.
