Summary

Biography

2022: Competed for the Golden Eagles in beach volleyball in the spring. Played in 15 matches, two at No. 3 pairs and 13 at No. 4 pairs with Haley Roundtree. Took on a larger role for the Golden Eagles in her second year with Cal State LA’s indoor volleyball program in the fall and was a key contributor for the NCAA Division II West Region and California Collegiate Athletic Association champions. Appeared in 29 matches and 89 sets. Was second on the team with 387 set assists, fifth on the team with 23 aces and sixth on the team with 120 digs. Had a season-high 33 assists in a four-set win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 8. Had 21 assists and a season-high 10 digs in a three-set win at Stanislaus State on Nov. 5. Had 23 assists and a season-high three aces in CCAA Tournament match against Sonoma State on Nov. 11.

2021: Made her on-court debut for the Golden Eagles in the fall and had a strong season. Appeared in 26 matches and 88 sets. Was second on the team with 398 set assists and third on the team in service aces with 22. Also had 122 digs. Had a season-high 49 set assists in her Cal State LA debut at Point Loma on Sept. 2. Had 41 set assists and a season-high 14 digs against Simon Fraser on Sept. 3. Had a season-high three service aces at Humboldt State on Nov. 13. Also competed for the Golden Eagles in beach volleyball in the spring (2022). Played in 15 matches, two at No. 3 pairs and 13 at No. 4 pairs with Haley Roundtree. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2021 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2020: Earned 2020-21 CCAA All-Academic honors in her first year with the program. Team did not compete due to COVID-19 in her first year with the program.

At Martin Luther King High School: Earned first-team All-League honors in 2019 and was the team’s Most Valuable Player. Made the 2019 Hemet All-Tournament Team. Earned first-team All-League honors in 2018 and received All-Academic honors as well. Earned second-team All-League honors in 2017 and was the team’s Most Improved Player as a sophomore. Earned High Honors and was a Scholar-Athlete all four years in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Julio and Leticia Grova. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys drawing, painting, working out, reading and traveling. Lists winning against Cal State San Bernardino in the NCAA Tournament and beating her high school rivals as her most exciting experiences in sports.
