2015: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his third and final year with the program. Finished sixth in the decathlon at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Had a season-best total of 4,788 points in the decathlon. Had best marks of 11.28 in the 100, 23.72 in the 200, 52.91 in the 400, 4:57.39 in the 1,500, 21.16 in the 110 hurdles, 5-4.25 in the high jump, 19-9.50 in the long jump, 31-6.75 in the shot put, 88-11 in the discus and 150-0 in the javelin. For his career, had best marks of 11.28 in the 100, 52.91 in the 400, 4:57.39 in the 1,500, 5-4.25 in the high jump, 19-9.50 in the long jump, 12-3.50 in the pole vault, 31-6.75 in the shot put, 88-11 in the discus and 158-2 in the javelin.
 
2014: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 11.50 in the 100, 19-6 in the long jump and 158-2 in the javelin. Placed 11^th in the javelin at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships.

2013: Competed well for the Golden Eagles as a true freshman. Had best marks of 23.72 in the 200, 54.82 in the 400 and 12-3.50 in the pole vault.

At El Monte High School: Won the league championship in the pole vault and was the Most Improved on his track and field team. Competed in football, soccer and track and field. Had perfect attendance and was a Tri-Sport student-athlete.

Personal: Son of Ebys and Mayra Barrios. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys listening to music, video games, playing sports, working out and eating. Lists winning the league championship in the pole vault after being in a three-way tie and being the only one to clear the last mark to win as his most exciting experience in sports.
