2015: Competed well for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best marks of 49.79 in the 400 meters and 21-5.50 in the long jump. For his career, had best marks of 49.34 in the 400, 2:02.86 in the 800 and 21-5.50 in the long jump.

2014: Had a best time of 50.93 at the Trojan Invitational. Battled injuries for much of the season.

2013: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles and was a red-shirt.

2012: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Finished sixth in the conference in the 400 meters and had a best time of 49.34 in the event. Also had a best time of 2:02.86 in the 800 meters.

At Skyline High School: Won the OAL section championship in the 400 meters in 2011 and 2009 and advanced to the CIF 400 prelims with a best time of 48.53. Competed in track and field, basketball and football.

Personal: Son of Patrick Atkins and Phylana Bridges. Majoring in liberal studies. Enjoys moon walking on the sun. Lists competing in the state track meet as a senior in high school as his most exciting experience in sports.
