Cal State LA Athletics

2015: Had an outstanding second season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best marks of 5-9.75 in the high jump, 21-10.75 in the long jump and 43-8.75 in the triple jump. Finished ninth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships in the long jump and ninth in the triple jump. For his career, had best marks of 53.37 in the 400 meters, 22-6.25 in the long jump, 43-8.75 in the triple jump and 5-9.75 in the high jump.

2014: Had best marks of 22-2.25 in the long jump, 40-6 in the triple jump and 53.37 in the 400 meters in his first year with the program. Placed 11^th in the long jump in the CCAA championships.

At East Los Angeles College: Was the Most Valuable Player on the track and field teams both years in the program. Had best marks of 11.23 in the 100 meters, 22.68 in the 200, 5-8 in the high jump, 22-6.25 in the long jump and 44-10.75 in the triple jump. Also named the Most Inspirational Player on the men’s basketball team in 2012. Earned the Academic Excellence Award as well in multiple semesters.
 
At Highland Prince Academy, Tijuana, Mexico:  Competed in basketball and earned the Academic Excellence Award.

Personal: Son of Luis and Yolanda Armendariz. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys fishing and riding motorcycles. Lists playing for Baja California’s state basketball team (18 year olds) as his most exciting experience in sports.
