A talented coach with a strong background, Ramon Rivas joins the Cal State LA men’s soccer coaching staff. Rivas comes to Cal State LA with college, high school and club experience.
Rivas was an assistant coach for four years at East Los Angeles College, where he is an adjunct faculty/non-credit instructor. He currently in his first year as an assistant coach at Cerritos College.
Rivas is also a National Premier Soccer League and United Premier Soccer League head coach for A.S. Los Angeles.
In addition, he has more than 10 years of club experience as a coach and director.
Rivas also has high school coaching experience. He was the head coach for the junior varsity team at Bell Gardens High School from 2014-19 and the varsity team head coach at San Gabriel High School from 2019-21.
Rivas earned his associate’s degree from Long Beach City College and his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State LA. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Kinesiology at Cal State LA.
