Biography

2007-08: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Started all 28 games for the Golden Eagles and played a total of 989 minutes. Averaged 16.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Led the team in scoring and assists with 108. Earned second-team All-West Region honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and Daktronics. Also earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors and picked up three CCAA Player of the Week awards during the season. Had a career-high 40 points and nine rebounds in a 122-118 win at Cal State Monterey Bay (1-18-08). Had 34 points and six assists in an 84-73 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay (2-23-08). Had 29 points and eight rebounds in a 111-102 win over UC San Diego (1-12-08). Had 27 points and a season-high 10 rebounds in a 93-79 win at Cal State Stanislaus (2-29-08). Had 22 points and a season-high eight assists in an 82-51 win over Chico State (1-26-08). Reached double figures in scoring 19 times and scored 20 or more points 10 times and 30 or more points twice. 2006-07: Appeared in 27 games and started 25 times for the Golden Eagles in 2006-07. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Was second on the team in scoring with 14.2 points per game. Led the team in assists with 4.8 per game and was second in rebounds with 5.1 per game. Scored a season-high 23 points in a pair of games. Had a 23-point, 13-rebound, 13-assist triple-double in a win at the University of Redlands (12-16-06). Also had 23 points and six assists against San Francisco State (2-2-07). Had 22 points and six rebounds against Cal State Stanislaus (2-9-07). Reached double figures in scoring 21 times and scored 20 or more points six times.

At Tulane University: Appeared in 13 games and started seven times as a sophomore. Scored a season-high 13 points against Savannah State (12-18-04). Also had 12 points against Prairie View (11-27-04) and 10 points against Louisiana Tech (11-21-04) and had a season-high seven assists in the Prairie View game. Appeared in 28 games and started seven times as a freshman in 2003-04. Was the leading freshman on the team in points (137), assists (61) and minutes (482). Had a season-high 15 points, six rebounds and four assists against Charlotte (3-6-04). Also had 13 points and five rebounds against Saint Louis (2-28-04).

At Oxford HS: Lettered for four years at Oxford High School in Mississippi. Also competed in football and track. Earned All-State honors twice and All-District recognition three times. Helped Oxford to three consecutive district championships and a Class 4A state championship as a sophomore. Averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists as a junior. Competed in the high jump and triple jump in track and field and helped Oxford to a pair of state titles.
