Biography

2024-25: Was one of the team’s best players once again for the Golden Eagles in her fourth and final season with the program. Was tied for second in singles wins and tied for third in doubles victories. Had a 5-13 overall record in singles, including a 4-10 mark in dual matches at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Was 3-3 at No. 4 singles and 1-3 at No. 2 singles. Had a 5-7 record in doubles, including a 4-6 mark in dual matches with partner Hideka Takamura. Duo went 2-5 at No. 1 doubles and 2-1 at No. 2 doubles. Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2024-25 All-Pacific West Conference honors. For her career, had a 28-53 record in singles, including a 19-45 mark in dual matches and a 20-29 record in doubles, including a 20-29 mark in dual matches.

2023-24: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s leaders once again. Led the team in singles wins with seven. Had a 7-14 overall record, including a 4-13 mark in dual matches. Had a 4-7 record at No. 2 singles. Had a 4-10 record in doubles, including a 3-9 mark in dual matches, all at No. 1 doubles. Began her season with a strong showing at the ITA Fall Regionals at Fresno Pacific. Advanced to the quarterfinals after posting three victories in four matches. An outstanding student, earned CSC Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators for a second straight season. Earned 2023-24 ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award.  Earned a 2023-24 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2023-24 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors. Was a nominee of the National Society of Leadership and Success and has made the Dean’s List in each semester at Cal State LA.

2022-23: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles and was the team’s top player for a second straight season. Had a 7-12 overall record in singles, including a 2-1 mark in tournament play and a 5-11 record in dual matches at No. 1 singles. Shared the team lead in doubles wins with seven. Went 6-8 at No. 1 doubles with Sakura Kurokawa and was 1-0 with Hideka Takamura. Was 1-1 in tournament play with Kurokawa. An outstanding student, earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Earned a 2022-23 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2022-23 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors. Received the team’s Sportsmanship Award.

2021-22: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her first year of competition with the program. Quickly took over the No. 1 singles position and had a 9-14 overall record, including 6-11 in dual matches. Was 4-7 at No. 1 singles and 2-4 at No. 2 singles. Had a 9-10 overall record in doubles, including a 6-3 record with Berta Acero at No. 1 doubles. Had a 7-6 overall record at No. 1 doubles. Earned an 2021-22 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team Award. Also earned 2021-22 Academic All-PacWest honors.

2020-21: Contributed to Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team Award. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Vista Alternative High School: Competed in tennis.

Personal: Daughter of Marion Olmos. Majoring in biology. Enjoys reading, going to the beach and hanging out with friends. Lists winning the first tournament she ever played as her most exciting experience in sports.
