Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Was one of Cal State LA’s top defenders in his first year with the program. Appeared in all 19 games and made 17 starts. Played a total of 1,264 minutes, which was third on the team. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 31 minutes in a 2-0 win over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 4. Got his first start and played 71 minutes in a 2-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Sept. 6. Played all 90 minutes in three games, in a 0-0 tie at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 27, in a 3-0 win over Chico State on Oct. 12 and in a 1-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 2. Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Earned a 2025-26 D2 Athletic Directors Academic Achievement Award and 2025 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

At Fullerton College: Earned first-team All-Orange Empire Conference honors twice and was part of two conference championship teams. Earned CCCAA All-Region honors.

At Brea Olinda High School: Was a three-time team Most Valuable Player and a North Hills League Most Valuable Player. Earned first-team CIF-SS Division 5 honors. Was part of a North Hills League championship team. Also competing in swimming.

Personal: Son of Bruce and Karen Yoell. Majoring in business-marketing. Enjoys soccer, video games and hiking. Lists winning in the last seconds of a game as his most exciting experience in sports.
