Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Had a productive season for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in 17 games with 13 starts. Played a total of 952 minutes, which was fourth on the team. Had one goal and three assists for five points. Made his Cal State LA debut and started in a 2-0 win over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 4. Picked up the first assist of his Cal State LA career in that game on a goal by Geovanni Antuna in the 28^th minute. Scored his first goal with the Golden Eagles in the 82^nd minute of a 2-0 win over Hawaii Hilo on Sept. 6.  Had assists in the Golden Eagles’ final two games of the season. Had an assist on Cal State LA’s lone goal by Jose Lopez in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game against Cal State East Bay on Nov. 9 and had an assist on a goal by Alex Mendez in the 19^th minute of an NCAA Tournament game against UCCS on Nov. 21. Played a season-high 90 minutes at Stanislaus State on Oct. 5.

At Mt. San Antonio College: Was a key defender in his two seasons with the Mounties. Appeared in 45 appearances with 35 starts. Earned All-America honors and team won a state championship.

At Sierra Vista High School: Did not compete in sports in high school.

Personal: Son of Francisco and Laura Gutierrez. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys going out with friends. Lists winning the state title at Mt. SAC and all the trophies as his most exciting experiences in sports.
