Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Earned the starter’s role and had an outstanding year for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 17 games with 16 starts. Had a 7-4-6 record with a 1.05 goals against average and seven shutouts. Made 62 saves and had a save percentage of .785. Made his Cal State LA debut and made three saves in a 2-0 win over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 4. Had shutouts in Cal State LA’s first four games. Made three saves in a 2-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Sept. 6, made two saves in a 0-0 draw with Seattle Pacific on Sept. 11 and made five saves in a 1-0 win over Western Washington on Sept. 13. Made five saves in a 0-0 tie at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 27, made four saves in a 3-0 win over Chico State on Oct. 12 and made five saves in a 1-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 2. Made a season-high six saves in a 2-1 win at UC Merced on Oct. 3. Came on and made five saves without allowing a goal in an NCAA Tournament game against UCCS on Nov. 21.

2024: Was on the roster for the Golden Eagles, but did not compete in any games in his first year with the program.

At Mater Dei High School: Earned All-CIF honors and was a two-time All-Trinity League selection. Also earned All-Orange County honors and his team won a CIF championship. Was also part of a 2024 U19 MLS Next championship team and a 2022 U16 MLS Next finalist.

Personal: Son of Jeff and Chris McClelland. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys going to the beach and working out. Lists winning the MLS Next championship and CIF championship in the same year as his most exciting experience in sports.
