Summary

Biography

2013-14: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her fourth and final year with the program. Was one of two players to start all 28 games. Played a total of 791 minutes. Averaged 7.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Was fifth on the team in scoring and third in rebounding. Was also second in blocks with 34. Had a season-high 16 points and eight rebounds at Humboldt State (2-20-14). Also had 14 points and nine rebounds in a 78-39 win against Sonoma State (1-4-14) and 14 points and five rebounds at UC San Diego (1-25-14). Had a season-high 13 rebounds to go along with four points and three blocks in a 70-67 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills (11-16-13). Hit the game-winning free throw in the final seconds of a 60-59 win over UC San Diego in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament semi-final. Reached double figures in scoring seven times. For her career, appeared in a program-record 110 games and started 63 times. Played a total of 2,127 minutes. Averaged 4.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

2012-13: Had her third productive season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 30 games and started 13 times. Averaged 2.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Started the last six games of the season. Had eight points and six rebounds against UC San Diego (2-2-13) and had eight points and six rebounds at Cal State Stanislaus (2-22-13). Also competed for Cal State L.A.’s outdoor track and field team. Had a best mark of 4-9.75 in the high jump.

2011-12: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 29 games and started seven times, including the final two games of the CCAA Championship Tournament. Got the start and contributed a season-high 10 points and six rebounds in a win over UC San Diego (3-2-12) in a conference semi-final game. Averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Also competed once again for Cal State L.A.’s outdoor track and field team. Finished in a tie for sixth in the high jump and helped the Golden Eagles finish third in the conference. Also competed in the heptathlon.

2010-11: Made her debut on the court for the Golden Eagles and had an impressive season. Played in 23 games and made 15 starts. Led the team with 6.1 rebounds per game and was fifth on the team in scoring with 7.0 points per contest. Made her first game for the Golden Eagles a memorable one and poured in a season-high 18 points against Academy of Art (11-14-10). Recorded her first double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds at UC San Diego (1-13-11). Also had 17 points and nine rebounds against Cal State East Bay (2-18-11). Grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds at Sonoma State (2-23-11). Reached double figures in scoring five times and had double figures in rebounds five times. Started the last four games of the season and eight of the last nine contests. Also competed for Cal State L.A.’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Had best times of 25.67 in the 200 and 15.85 in the 100 hurdles. Posted a total of 3,995 points in the heptathlon and finished fifth in the CCAA in that event.

2009-10: Did not compete in basketball for the Golden Eagles, but was a member of the Cal State L.A. track and field team. Had best times of 12.65 in the 100 meters, 60.78 in the 400 meters and 70.26 in the 400 hurdles for the Golden Eagles and earned All-CCAA second-team honors after being part of the 4x400 relay team that finished second in the conference finals and qualified for nationals.

At Carson High School: Competed in basketball and track and field in high school. Was the team’s Most Valuable Athlete and named to the school Hall of Fame in track and field. Also earned All-City honors. Also earned All-League and All-City honors in basketball and was the team Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Daughter of Alvin Belt and the late Karen Bentley. Majoring in business. Enjoys crocheting and hair. Lists going from basketball games to track meets and competing well in both as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she is one of 10 children.
