Cal State LA Athletics Spectator Protocols

We are pleased to begin safely welcoming fans back to cheer on our Golden Eagle Athletics teams. Ensuring the health and safety of our Cal State LA community, student-athletes, coaching staff, and their friends and families is our top priority. Spectators must follow the below protocols when attending games.

FACE MASKS

Spectators must wear face masks at all times at any indoor sporting event. Spectators at outdoor sporting events, at locations such as University Stadium, are also asked to wear masks.

There are many types of masks you can use to protect against COVID-19. Choose a mask that:

  1. Fits snugly against your nose and chin with no large gaps around the sides of the face, and
  2. Has two or more layers of tightly woven or non-woven material, and
  3. You will be comfortable wearing.

Find more information on face mask guidelines on the Cal State LA Health Watch website.

EATING & DRINKING

No eating or drinking is allowed while in attendance at Cal State LA sporting events.

HEALTH SELF-SCREENING

All Cal State LA employees, students, and visitors are required to conduct a health self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms before arriving at Cal State LA.

If you are experiencing any of the below symptoms, please do not come onto the Cal State LA campus.

  • Fever of 100.4 F, or;
  • Alternating chills and sweating; or
  • Cough, trouble breathing, shortness of breath; or
  • Sore throat; or
  • Muscle or body aches; or
  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea; or
  • Headache; or
  • Congestion or runny nose; or
  • Fatigue

This self-assessment must be completed each day prior to coming on campus, or at the beginning of each day if residing in university housing.
