Summary

Biography

2024-25: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in her second year with the program. Competed in seven tournaments and 17 rounds and had a scoring average of 78.65. Finished in a tie for sixth at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships on April 21-23 and was the team’s No. 2 golfer after rounds of 80-75-77 and a score of 232. Was also on the top-five for the Golden Eagles at the NCAA West Regional on May 5-7 and tied for 73rd after rounds of 80-78-78 for a score of 234. Finished in a tie for third as an individual after rounds of 72-76 and a 148 total at the Sonoma State Spring Invite on April 7-8. The round of 72 and the 148 total were career bests. Opened her season with a 16th-place finish at the Swan Memorial on Sept. 9-10 after rounds of 73-78 and a 151 score. Earned 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors as well as 2024-25 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors. Also earned 2024-25 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2025 Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2023-24: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Was a member of the starting five and part of the best team in program history. Competed in all nine tournaments and 22 rounds and was the No. 5 golfer on the team with a scoring average of 77.90. Had her best finish of the season by placing in a tie for 11th after rounds of 79 and 79 for a 36-hole total of 158 at the Sonoma State Spring Invite on April 8-9. Had her best 36-hole total of 152 after rounds of 76 and 76 while finishing in a tie for 39th at the HPU Sharks Shootout on Oct. 23-24. Finished in a tie for 21st the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships after rounds of 79, 83 and 77 for a total of 239 on April 22-24. Matched her low round of the year with a 73 in the opening round of the NCAA West Regionals. Finished in a tie for 50th after rounds of 73, 82, 76 for a total of 231 on May 6-8. Earned 2023-24 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors and 2023-24 CCAA All-Academic honors.

At Birmingham High School: Earned High Honor Roll honors all four years. Is a member of her school’s Hall of Fame. Also received a medallion for doing volunteer work around school when she graduated.

Personal: Daughter of Cesar and Claudia Amaya. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys playing golf and taking care of her plants. Lists making it to regionals as a team and having their first team win as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she also got her first top-three finish and had her best college score of four-over-par over two days.
