At LA Harbor College: Received the Challenging Athletes’ Minds for Personal Success (CHAMPS) Student-Athlete of the Year Award for 2023-24. Also earned the Most Dedicated Runner of the Year in 2023 and the Most Outstanding Runner of the Year in 2024. Also earned a place on the Full-Time Dean’s List in spring 2024 for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

At San Pedro High School: Earned the Pirate Award in 2022 for leadership in track and field. Also earned a medal for placing third in the Marine League Finals and another as part of the junior varsity team that won the Marine League finals in 2021. Consistently achieved Honor Roll status by maintaining a 3.0 grade point average or higher.

Personal: Daughter of Morgan and Sandra Mataalii. Majoring in biology. Enjoys coaching, . Lists having the opportunity to compete alongside her younger sister Keona on the Los Angeles Harbor cross country team and West Los Angeles College track team as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she was team captain of LA Harbor’s cross country team and for the distance team in track. Was also a senator in the Associated Student Organization and later served as Vice President. Also founded the Sports Management Club in fall of 2023.
