Cal State LA Athletics

2025: Had a strong start to his Cal State LA career in his first year with the program. Appeared in eight games and played a total of 148 minutes. Had one goal and two points. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 13 minutes in a 2-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Sept. 6. Scored the first goal of his Cal State LA career in the 62^nd minute of a 1-0 win over Western Washington on Sept. 13. Played a season-high 34 minutes in a 2-2 tie at Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 19. Earned 2025-26 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Cathedral High School: Was on the school’s Honor Roll and earned the President’s Award and the Principal’s Award.

Personal: Son of Ernesto and Lorena Alvarez. Is an undeclared major. Enjoys playing the piano. Lists playing in the MLS Next Cup Tournament as his most exciting experience in sports.
