Summary

Biography

2017-18: Was a major part of Cal State LA's inaugural team. Played in four tournaments for the Golden Eagles and was the No. 2 golfer for the team in three of them. Had rounds of 101, 97 and 105 and finished 27th at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a total of 303 on April 16-18. Had a low round of 95 at the Point Loma Reach Tournament on Feb. 7 and a low 36-hotel total of 198 after the first two rounds at the CCAA Championships.

At Kerman High School: Became the first player in her school’s history to win the North Sequoia League individual championship. Also finished second twice in the league and made four championship appearances in her four years with the program. Earned the “Most Improved Player” award as a freshman and was the team’s “Most Outstanding Golfer” as a sophomore, junior and senior. Was No. 1 player since her sophomore season.

Personal: Daughter of Maurice and Yvonne Rubio. Majoring in Anthropology. Enjoys playing golf and volunteering with the First Tee of Fresno. Also enjoys professional makeup and creating special effects with power. Lists representing her city in the North Sequoia League Championships as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she would like to get more young girls involved in golf and create a larger path for women in golf.
