Cal State LA Athletics

2017-18: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final season with the program. Appeared in 25 games and started 19 times. Played a total of 599 minutes. Led the team in scoring and averaged 12.6 points per game. Also led the team in 3-pointers made with 56, assists with 85 and steals with 33. Set a new program record with eight 3-pointers made as part of a career high 28 points against Cal State Monterey Bay (11-17-17). Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 13-19. Reached double figures in scoring 15 times and scored 20 or more points four times. For his career, appeared in 51 games and started 24 times. Played a total of 1,037 minutes. Averaged 9.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game. Made 82 successful 3-point shots in his two years with the program.

2016-17: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles as a true freshman. Appeared in 26 games and started five times. Averaged 5.9 points per game. Made his first career start and scored 13 points against Cal Poly Pomona (1-7-17). Had a season-high 17 points and seven assists against La Sierra (1-25-17). Also had 15 points and knocked down four 3-pointers against San Francisco State (1-5-17). Reached double figures in scoring six times.

At Etiwanda High School: Averaged 13 points, five assists and three steals per game. Was a McDonald’s All-America nominee. Earned first-team All-League honors in offense and defense.

Personal: Son of Earnest and Greta Carter. Majoring in mass communication. Enjoys going to church, hanging out with friends and 2K. Lists hitting the game-winning shot against Mater Dei to send Etiwanda to the CIF championship game in his junior year as his most exciting experience in sports.
