Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Had another strong season and completed a four-year playing career with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 19 games with 18 starts. Played a total of 1,546 minutes. Started and played a season-high 109 minutes in a 1-0 win at UC San Diego on Nov. 3. For her career, appeared in 67 games and started 56 times. Played a total of 5,304 minutes and finished her career No. 4 all-time in minutes played in program history. 

2012: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles. Started all 18 games for Cal State L.A. and was fourth on the team in minutes played with 1,725. Was one of the team’s most solid defenders.

2011: Showed tremendous improvement in her second season on the field for the Golden Eagles and appeared and started in 20 of the team’s 21 games. Missed the season finale because of injury. Played the entire game in 16 contests and helped solidify one of the top defenses in the country.

2010: Made a meaningful impact in her first season on the field for Cal State L.A. Appeared in 10 games. Played a season-high 52 minutes in a 2-0 win at Chico State on Oct. 3 and played 40 minutes in a 4-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 19.

2009: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

At Aliso Niguel High School: Competed in soccer and track and field. Was on a team that won South Coast League championship and reached the CIF semi-finals in 2008-09. Team earned a No. 1 national ranking from ESPN in December of 2008. Reached the state finals in track and field as a member of Aliso Niguel’s 4x400 relay team. Had a best time of 59.0 in the 400. Was a captain on the track and field team for two years. Was on the principal’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Daughter of Hal and Rosalia Estrada-Footlik. Majoring in urban learning. Enjoys reading, DIY crafts and dancing. Lists going to state in track for the 4x400 relay as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she loves ice cream and vampires.
