COSTA MESA -- Cal State LA's women's basketball team competed in an exhibition game Saturday at Vanguard University.
The Golden Eagles fell, 74-39, in a contest that was countable for the Lions, who are ranked No. 1 in the NAIA.
Madison Adams had eight points for the Golden Eagles, while
Christine Delapina and
Neele Steinort had seven points each.
Rebeccah DiRegolo had six rebounds, while
Mackenzie Barnes had six points and three rebounds.
Cal State LA shot 30.4 percent (14-of-46) and was 4-of-13 from 3-point range and 7-of-10 from the free-throw line. The Golden Eagles were out-rebounded, 38-27, and committed 27 turnovers to 15 for the Lions.
Cal State LA will now set its sights back on California Collegiate Athletic Association beginning with a home game on Thursday against Cal State San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m. The Golden Eagles also have upcoming conference games at home against UC San Diego on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. and Cal State San Marcos on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
