SANTA BARBARA -- Cal State LA's women's basketball team completed a tough two-game exhibition slate with a hard-fought effort at UC Santa Barbara.
Just two days after facing off against USC, the Golden Eagles battled with UC Santa Barbara in a 90-53 defeat.
Da'Jah Jackson led the Golden Eagles with 12 points and five rebounds.
Sarah Porter had a game-high 19 points to lead four Gauchos in double figures.
Rebeccah DiRogolo had eight points and four rebounds, while her twin sister, Rachael DiRogolo had six points.
Christine Delapina had seven points, while
Samantha Lee added six points.
Cal State LA was 19-of-58 from the floor and made five of 20 attempts from 3-point range. UC Santa Barbara was 30-of-62 and hit 10-of-26 from 3-point range. The Gauchos were 20-of-37 from the free-throw line, while the Golden Eagles were 10-of-19. UC Santa Barbara had a 54-33 rebounding edge and committed 12 turnovers to 16 for the Golden Eagles.
Cal State LA will open the regular-season on Friday with a game at Alaska Anchorage.
