LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's basketball team battled against national power USC Friday in an exhibition game between teams coached by former USC teammates.
New Cal State LA head coach
Cheryl Miller was honored by USC in a pregame ceremony at the Galen Center. USC is coached by Miller's teammate, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke. The pair were NCAA champions together and are basketball Hall of Famers.
The Golden Eagles fell to USC in their first exhibition game, 85-39. Cal State LA trailed, 28-13, at halftime.
Madison Adams had a team-high 11 points for Cal State LA, while
Da'Jah Jackson had eight points.
Rikke Fabricius had seven points and
Samantha Lee had a pair of 3-pointers and six points.
