Cal State L.A. Volleyball Sweeps Toros

LOS ANGELES – Luana Cavalcanti had 13 kills and an attack percentage of .478, as the Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles swept cross-town rival Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday night in Carson; 30-20, 30-14, 30-23. The Golden Eagles improve to 12-4 overall, and 8-3 in the CCAA.

Over the course of the three games, the Golden Eagles recorded an attacking percentage of .319 to the Toros' .097. Cal State L.A. only 13 errors in the match, taking advantage of the Toros' 22, including 10 in the second game.

Cavalcanti led the team in kills with 13. Two Golden Eagles recorded double-digit assists, 24 for Keslie Brown, and Alex Meuter pitched in with 10. Tanya White led the Golden Eagles with nine digs, and Isabella Camargo tallied five service aces.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday night as they take on UC San Diego in La Jolla. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
