Golden Eagles Women Shutout San Francisco State, 1-0, in CCAA Soccer

LOS ANGELES – Kastidi Robles scored the game's lone goal as the Golden Eagles went on to defeat San Francisco State, 1-0, on Friday, September 29. The Golden Eagles improve to 7-3-1 overall, 5-2-1 in the CCAA. The Gators fall to 4-6-1, 3-4-1.

The Golden Eagles dominated the Gators throughout the game. In the first half, San Francisco State was held to just three shots, while the Golden Eagles fired seven at the opposing goal. Cal State L.A.'s second half consisted of eight more shots, including Kastidi Robles' 50:03 goal. Eric Prado assisted on the breakaway shot, as Robles put the ball in the net with only the opposing goalkeeper to beat.

Golden Eagle goaltender Reyna Coca recorded five saves as Cal State L.A. shutout San Francisco State, 1-0.

Following this afternoon's win, the Golden Eagles remain on the road as they head off for a 12:30 p.m. match against CSU Monterey Bay on Sunday, October 1. Their trip concludes on Wednesday, October 4, with a 7 p.m. match at Cal State Bakersfield.

Next Friday, October 6, the Golden Eagles return to Jesse Owens Track for a doubleheader against Cal State Stanislaus. The men's game starts at 4:30 p.m., with the women set for a 7 p.m. start.
