LOS ANGELES – Cal State L.A. goalkeeper Reyna Coca made five saves, but the Golden Eagles were shutout by the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors, 1-0, on Friday night at Jesse Owens Track. The team falls to 7-5-2 overall, and 5-4-2 in the Conference.
Despite Coca's efforts in the Golden Eagles' net, including several spectacular saves, the Warriors were able to take a shot form her right side and slip it between the posts for the match's only goal. Her save total now stands at 75 for the season.
With that loss, the Golden Eagles are now winless in their past three games, tying their longest drought of the season. In that span, they have gone 0-2-1.
The Golden Eagles look to get back on the winning track on Sunday afternoon as they take on Chico State at Jesse Owens Track at 3:00 p.m.
