2014: Competed well for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Had best times of 10:25.07 in the 3,000 meters, 10:56.66 in the 3,000 steeplechase and 17:06.21 in the 5,000.

At Alhambra High School: Had best times of 4:39 in the 1,500, 4:55 in the 1,600, 2:10 in the 800, 11:10 in the 3,200 and 17:06 in the three-mile.

Personal: Son of Alejandro Perez and Karina Carmona. Majoring in computer science. Enjoys being a computer technician and a math tutor for children’s math up to advanced mathematics for college students. Lists being in the top-seven in his school’s league final in the 3,200 meters out of a field of 21 runners as his most exciting experience in sports. Says he enjoys riding and training with elite cyclists, hopes to become an elite triathlete after college and wants to secure a job or internship at a good company for software developers and programmers.
