Summary

Biography

2024-25: Was one of the team’s top players once again in her third year with the program. Had a 3-15 overall record in singles, including a 2-11 mark in dual matches. Played in each of the top three singles positions, including eight matches at No. 3 singles. Had a 6-9 overall record in doubles, including a 4-7 mark in dual matches. Had a 4-6 record with Sarah Olmos, including a 2-1 mark at No. 2 doubles. Duo also went 2-5 at No. 1 doubles. Shared the team lead in wins in doubles and was tied for second in dual match doubles victories. Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also received 2024-25 Academic All-Pacific West Conference honors.

2023-24: Was one of the team’s most improved players and moved up to the No. 1 singles spot early in her second year with the program. Also moved up to the top pairing in doubles. Had a 3-16 overall  record in singles, including a 2-15 mark in dual matches. Had a 3-11 overall record in doubles, including a 2-10 mark in dual matches. Had a 2-4 mark at No. 1 doubles with Sarah Olmos. Picked up wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a 7-0 victory over Chaminade on March 28. An outstanding student, earned CSC Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Earned a 2023-24 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2023-24 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

2022-23: Had a promising season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Had the team’s best doubles record at 7-7, including a 7-5 mark in dual matches. Had a 6-5 record with Alexandra Hincu at No. 2 doubles and a 1-0 mark with Sarah Olmos at No. 1 doubles. Had an 8-12 overall record in singles, including a 6-10 record in dual matches. Was 4-5 at No. 3 singles and 2-5 at No. 4 singles. An outstanding student, earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for 2022-23 and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Also earned 2022-23 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

At Yakamura Gakuen High School: Competed in the All-Japan Tennis Tournament as the team captain and finished in the top-16. Earned top academic honors every academic year.

Personal: Daughter of Yasuhiro and Satoko Takamura. Majoring in accounting. Enjoys watching comedy shows and dramas, hanging out with her pets and going to eat. Lists meeting important people through her tennis career and establishing her identity as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she has an older sister and a dog and cat.
