Cal State LA Athletics

2017-18: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 11 games and played a total of 55 minutes. Averaged 2.3 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. Had a season-high six points and three rebounds against Cal State Dominguez Hills (1-6-18). Played a season-high 13 minutes in the game. Made his Cal State LA debut in a 79-71 win against Cal State San Bernardino (12-14-17). 

At Cal State Northridge: Appeared in one game before suffering a season-ending injury. Had two points, five rebounds and one steal in nine minutes against Pomona-Pitzer.

At Bishop O’Connell High School: Was part of a team that was the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference champions in 2013. Team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association State Basketball Championships during his senior season.

Personal: Son of Zhenqiang Sun and Jianmei Yao. Majoring in sociology. Lists dunking on people as his most exciting experience in sports.
