FULLERTON -- Cal State LA's men's cross country team had three runners compete Friday night at the John Elders Invitational at Cal State Fullerton.
Michael Diaz led the way for the Golden Eagles by finishing 86th out of a field of 201 runners. He had a time of 26:42.3 over an 8,000-meter course on the Cal State Fullerton campus. It's the first time in his Cal State LA career that Diaz has been the team's No. 1 runner in a race. He had been the team's No. 2 finisher in each race before Friday.
Adrian Sixtos was next for the Golden Eagles, finishing 109th in 27:19.1 and
Joshua Lovato was 143rd in 28:33.7.
Cal State LA will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay.
